Benefit / Efficiency & Deployment

Know where every AI dollar goes.
Then spend fewer of them.

AI spend grows with every call, retry and repeated calculation. Frozion connects usage to the work that caused it, bounds model effort and keeps routine decisions out of the model when rules already have the answer.

See the usage. Bound the effort. Remove avoidable work.

  1. Read what needs interpretation

Use a model to extract the invoice details.

  2. Reuse what is already known

Query for duplicates, reuse the variance fact and apply the approval rule.

  3. Explain the result

Use a model to summarize the case for the reviewer.

Sample workflow · 2 model calls · rules and reusable facts between them

The bill is visible.
The wasted work often isn’t.

A provider invoice tells you what was consumed. It doesn’t explain which business process needed it, why an agent tried again or whether the same fact had already been calculated.

01

Spend without a business owner

A total across providers hides the requests, workflows and agents responsible for it. Teams struggle to decide where to intervene.

02

Models doing routine checks

A duplicate lookup or a threshold comparison becomes another model call, even when a query or a business rule can answer it directly.

03

Retries without a stopping point

An agent keeps searching, reasoning or trying another route. Without explicit limits, effort becomes the default response to uncertainty.

See it. Bound it.
Stop paying to do it again.

Cost control belongs in the execution path. Frozion connects model use, routing and reusable facts to the same governed work.

01

Attribute the usage

Connect recorded model usage to the initiating identity, agent and workflow. Investigate a costly case with its decisions and attempts in view, instead of treating provider totals as the whole story.

02

Bound model effort

Set applicable limits for attempts, time, tokens and inference cost. A limit leads to the configured stop, wait or exception path; it does not silently authorize more effort.

03

Use rules and reusable facts

Run a calculation or policy check where it belongs. Reuse a calculated fact when its definition, entity, time window and freshness meet the next consumer’s contract. Refresh it when they don’t.

04

Choose among eligible models

First satisfy the task’s quality, privacy, region and handling requirements. Then use cost preferences among eligible routes. A cheaper model that cannot meet those requirements is not an eligible saving.

Same invoice.
Less avoidable inference.

In this sample invoice-review design, five model-assisted steps become two model calls with deterministic checks between them. Compare the work, then follow the usage record.

5 model calls

Every step asks a model.

Extraction, duplicate assessment, variance calculation, threshold interpretation and the final summary each use a model. This is a design choice, not an unavoidable cost of AI-assisted invoice review.

The five calls

Extract invoice
Model call 1
Assess duplicates
Model call 2
Calculate variance
Model call 3
Interpret threshold
Model call 4
Summarize
Model call 5
2 model calls

Interpret twice. Compute and check directly.

The invoice still needs interpretation and the reviewer still needs a useful explanation. The middle steps use a duplicate query, a reusable variance fact and an explicit approval rule. If the stored fact is stale, refresh the calculation before deciding.

The cost has a business context.

The usage record belongs to this invoice exception, its initiating identity and its agent. Follow which model route ran, what it consumed and whether another attempt was needed. Both designs may need retries; contracts validate output but do not eliminate retry cost.

A cost conversation
grounded in the work.

Give finance, technology and operations a shared explanation of what is being spent and what can be changed.

CFO

Separate necessary AI work from repeated or misallocated effort. Evaluate savings against a representative process and its required outcome.

A business reason for the spend.

CIO

Keep model flexibility while making task requirements and effort limits explicit. Improve the application without treating every problem as a bigger model request.

Control without freezing model choice.

FinOps & application owners

Trace costly cases, find repeated calculations and compare eligible routing choices. Check the effect of a change on both usage and completed work.

A concrete place to intervene.

Lower cost.
The same business obligations.

Savings come from doing the right work with the right mechanism. Authorization, evidence, quality and completion requirements still apply.

Process limits are explicit

Apply limits at the boundaries supported by the configured workflow and model route. Aggregated historical spend is a decision input, not automatically a strict account-wide spending cap.

Freshness comes before reuse

A saved calculation is useful only when its contract matches the next decision. Avoid recomputation when the fact is valid; refresh or hold when it is not.

Measure the workload. Compare model consumption, retries, deterministic checks and the cost of producing the required outcome. The example demonstrates one way to remove calls; it is not a percentage savings promise.

No. Eligibility comes first: task capability, quality requirements, privacy, region and handling constraints. Cost preferences then help choose among eligible routes.

The configured workflow follows its stop, wait or exception path. Define that behavior alongside the limit so an incomplete case remains visible and has a next step.

No. Keep supported providers that meet your requirements. You can improve rules, fact reuse and effort limits before changing the model used by a task.
